Clifford Griggs, 62, Shady Rest Trailer Court, died at 10:10 p.m. Friday in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Lafayette. Mr. Griggs was employed at R.R. Donnelley & Sons Co. for 25 years. He was a member of the Donnelley Club. He was born June 11, 1910, at Beech Grove, the son of David and Myrtle Craver Griggs. He was married to Bessie Gill, Oct. 25, 1931, at Ladoga who survives. Surviving with the wife, is a son, Harold Griggs, Crawfordsville; two daughters, Mrs. Marie Lowe, Rt. 2, Ladoga, and Mrs. Lela Hanson, Ceder Lake; seven brothers, Leon of Indianapolis, James and Herbert of Lebanon; Gerald of Brownsburg, Virgil and Harry of Crawfordsville and Wilbur of Mace, and a sister, Mrs. Helen Morris of Ladoga. Also surviving is his mother. He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Powers Funeral Home with burial at the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Rev. Wendell Raney of Ladoga Nazarene Church will officiate. Friends may call at Powers Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Sunday.
